First Time Visitor
We welcome you to Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. Sunday and Wednesday events provide opportunities to get to know our church family. Join us!

Sunday morning offers a time of study and support in small groups,
and then a coming together as a church body to Worship.

Sunday Morning Bible Study
We have a Bible Study for every age and stage at VHBC. Sunday School classes for infants through 12th grade meet in the Children and Student Buildings. Classes begin at 8:45 am.

In addition to educating preschoolers, children and students, VHBC's adult Bible Study classes are key to developing connections. They provide community, intimacy, and opportunities to grow in your relationship with Christ within a larger family of faith.

An overview of adult classes is provided to help you identify one (or several!) of interest.

Sunday Worship
Worship at VHBC is characterized by sincerity, warmth, and open communication.
Words and music are thoughtfully prepared in order for the congregation and visitors to express their love for God, their desire to follow God more closely, and their love for one another.

VHBC's worship service is at 10:00 a.m. Enter the Main Building through one of the four sets of wooden double doors. Ushers will greet you at the door of the sanctuary and will give you a worship guide to aid in participating in the worship activities.

Children are welcome in the worship service. We provide worship childcare for babies and young children (three and under). Pagers are available for parents of infants.

The preschool entrance is found on the lower parking lot. From Beaumont and Vestavia Drive, come up the driveway and stay to the right. Enter through the double glass doors.

The Children's-level entrance is located on the main level parking lot. The double-glass doors are underneath the green awning. The preschool level can be accessed from the "green awning" entrance by coming through the glass doors and taking the elevator to level one. Exit the elevator and turn right to enter the preschool hallway.

A greeter at the desk can assist in locating the appropriate classroom your child. Children ages four and five attend worship, but leave at the time noted in the worship guide, typically during the offertory.

Worship care for 4s and 5s is provided in room 113 and 217 of the Children's Building. You may exit through the front doors to enter the Children's Building at the green awning or go across the front foyer and follow the signs in the hallways.

The Wednesday night experience is an
integral part of our faith community.
Midweek is a great time to reconnect with the Body of Christ and that is just what do, as we gather for a corporate meal, singing and prayers, Bible studies, and a variety of learning experiences. Wednesdays are also a great time to bring friends, as our children and students regularly do, introducing them to the Christian community that has been so instrumental in their own faith development.

Wednesday night supper is served from 4:30 until 6:15 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Visitors are invited to be our guest - just let us know if you are coming!

For adults, prayer time and Bible study begin at 6:15 pm.
