"Helping engage congregations in warm and vibrant worship in a traditional context and guiding musicians to offer their best in worship are my passions. I am grateful to walk alongside the Vestavia Hills Baptist Church family in ministry through music."
Before coming to VHBC, Marty served the First Baptist Church of Griffin, Georgia, for fourteen years. In addition to his music and worship responsibilities, he sings with The CenturyMen, a male chorus composed of professional Baptist musicians. Marty and his wife Karyn, also a musician, are experiencing the joys (and trials) of parenthood having welcomed a son, Duncan, in May 2015. Marty enjoys cooking and occasionally succumbs to the temptation of a Netflix binge.
