February 6, 13 and 20, Choose from:
“How We Got This Way: Evangelicals in America” Led by Scott McGinnis
How did evangelical Christianity become such an important part of the American religious landscape? For that matter, what does it mean to be an evangelical Christian, as opposed to all the other ways of being Christian? Join us as we discuss “hearts strangely warmed,” Great Awakenings, Monkey Trials, and Billy Graham.—Fellowship Hall

Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again, Led by Jennifer Binet
Jennifer Binet will facilitate a discussion of Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again, written by Rachel Held Evans. Evans starts her book with the question: If the Bible isn’t a science book, instruction manual, or position paper, then what is it? For three Wednesdays, we will discuss favorite Bible stories and explore Evans’ creative use of memoir, poetry, and art to understand some of the most difficult passages of Scripture. Short excerpts of the book will be provided to participants; however, purchasing the book and reading along is recommended. For more information about the book, see —Room 250 (off the Fellowship Hall, first classroom on the right)

Ukulele Choir, Led by Brent Warren
Strum your way through a time of unique fellowship as we practice the worship of God through the medium of instrumental music.—Seminar Room
